ruzuzu commented on the word caramel apple
I've never heard of a toffee apple--what's the texture like? Is it crisp? Caramel apples have a soft layer of melted caramel--sometimes they're rolled in crushed peanuts to make them easier to handle.
(It seems so strange to type car-a-mel. In my head it's car-mul app-le.)

pterodactyl commented on the word caramel apple
I've heard of toffee apples, but like ruzuzu, I can't imagine what they'd be. I picture toffee as a hard, brittle substance, quite unlike the soft caramel of a caramel apple.
